Biography
Kevin Beasley is a documentary photographer and visual storyteller based out of Atlanta, GA. His work covers a wide range of the American experience, from lighthearted pieces related to wrestling and demolition derbies to more series themes covering gentrification. “Beachfront Property” is his current work in progress, which documents life and culture of Atlanta’s West End neighborhood in the midst of continuous change and redevelopment.
He served in the navy from 2012 to 2016 and during that time period he was stationed in Japan. His return to the U.S. has allowed him to see America from a unique perspective. Kevin is a full time staff photographer at Georgia Tech. He holds a masters degree in multimedia journalism from the University of Oregon and has taught as an adjunct professor at Northern Kentucky University.
